We are looking for the oldest operating residential air conditioner we can find!

Last year, the owner replaced his father’s air conditioner. It was 41 years old. In those 41 years, the unit had never broken down a single time. It was a Sears unit and was still running when we replaced it.

That made me think, what is the oldest air conditioner we can find that is still running in the DFW area? And this is your chance to replace that dinosaur for free!

If you or your friends or family have a really old unit that has just kept on trucking, please fill out the information below. Entries will be accepted until June 15, 2023. The winner will be determined on June 30, 2023. The winner will receive a new air conditioning system!

In addition to the grand prize winner, the next 25 oldest systems identified will receive one year of free maintenance from No Sweat Experts.

This contest is open to residents of Dallas, Tarrant, Denton, Collin, and Rockwall counties. The home must be owner occupied. The unit must be operating, which will be verified, the day after the winner is determined (July 1, 2023). The age will be determined based on the outdoor unit. The winner of this contest will receive a Goodman unit with a retail value of up to $8,000. Out of pocket upgrades will be available for a different brand or higher efficiency models, but the value above $8,000 must be paid at the time of installation. The winner will receive an air conditioner or heat pump, and an air handler or furnace and coil. Based on the information submitted, if the oldest unit is not able to be identified with certainty, a drawing will be held to select the winner from the most likely entries. The entries in the drawing will be selected at the discretion of No Sweat Experts.
